Mr. Surender Kumar Tuteja

Mr. Tuteja is an independent and non-executive Director. Mr. Tuteja completed his Bachelors and Masters in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. He became a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi in 1981. Mr. Tuteja has an experience of approximately 42 years in serving various capacities in the Government, including as Secretary to the Government of India in the Department of Food and Public Distribution, as Secretary, Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Agro & Rural Industries, as Development Commissioner, Small Scale Industries, as Secretary, Public Enterprises Selection Board, as Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, as Principal Secretary, Finance, Government of Punjab, as Managing Director, Punjab State Industries Development Corporation Limited and as Chairman, Punjab State Electricity Board.

Mr. Tuteja has also acted as a consultant to the World Bank and has participated as a member of the Indian delegation to the fourth ministerial conference of WTO held at Doha, Qatar. He was also a member of the executive committee of the International Sugar Organization, London and the International Grain Council, London. In 1992, he was awarded the “Dayanand Munjal Award” in the category of “Manager of the Year” by the Ludhiana Management Association. Mr. Tuteja is also a Director in a2z Infrastructure.

Mr. Amit Mittal

Mr. Mittal obtained his B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee and has approximately 20 years of experience in project management and execution in the power, oil and infrastructure sectors. Mr. Mittal is responsible for the management of the overall operations of the Company and the Group. He is also the chairman and managing director of a2z Infrastructure and a Chairman and Director of a2z Infraservices. Mr. Mittal started his career with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and later joined Sapient Corporation, a multinational consulting corporation. He was recently been awarded with the Ernst & Young award for the Start-up Entrepreneur of the year 2009.

Mr. Manish Gupta

Mr. Gupta is the nominee director representing the interests of Mr. Jhunjhunwala in the Company. Mr. Gupta has over 12 years of experience in strategy formulation and 4 years of experience in private equity and capital markets. Mr. Gupta completed his Bachelor of Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science in Pilani, Rajasthan and acquired his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Prior to joining RaRe Enterprises, he worked at the Boston Consulting Group from June, 1997 to March, 2004. He has also held management positions at Honeywell International and Steelcase Inc between 2004 and 2006.

Mr. Brij Raj Singh

Mr. Singh has been nominated by Beacon India Investors Limited to the Board of Directors. He is a graduate from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and has attended the Amos Tuck School of Management at Dartmouth College, USA. Mr. Singh completed his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in International business from American University, Washington DC. Mr. Singh has also completed his Advanced Management Program from the Harvard Business School. He has approximately 20 years of private banking and investment advisory experience in India and the Middle East. Previously, he has been the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Julius Bear Middle East. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch & Co., where he was responsible for private banking in the Middle East and the Indian sub-continent. Mr. Singh has also been the Chairman of the Emirates chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Mr. Anshuman Goenka is an alternate director to Mr. Singh on the Board.

Mr. Gaurav Mathur

Mr. Mathur has been nominated to the Board of Directors by Lexington. He has 13 years of experience in private equity and investment banking business. Mr. Mathur acquired his Bachelors in Economics from University of Delhi and Masters in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Mr. Mathur is the Managing Director of India Equity Partners (IEP) and prior to joining IEP he was Principal at J. P. Morgan Partners and an analyst at the Deutsche Bank. Mr. Supratim Banerjee is the Alternate Director to Mr. Mathur on the Board.

Mr. Vinod Sagar Wahi

Mr. Wahi was appointed to the Board as an Additional Director. He completed his Bachelors in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce and along with a Bachelors degree in Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. Further he acquired Masters in Business Administration from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi and Masters in Philosophy from Punjab University. He has approximately 36 years in the Indian Revenue Service, GoI in various capacities, including as the Commissioner of Income Tax, the Director of Income Tax, the director, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the secretary, Company Law Board, the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Mumbai and Delhi and a member, Company Law Board. He is a Senior Partner at Khaitan & Co., a well know law firm in India.

Mr. Rajeev Thakore

Mr. Thakore was appointed to the Board as an Additional Director. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from University of Saskatchewan (Canada). Mr. Thakore also attended a Pre-Business Program at the Kent State University, Ohio and completed his Bachelors in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. He has approximately 29 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance and the banking business. He has advised Strategic Value Partners and has been the Managing Director of BVM Advisors. Previously, Mr. Thakore was the Co-founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Jacob Ballas Capital and the Chief Executive Officer of Shriram Financial Services. He has also held management positions with HSBC Bank and BNP Paribas.

Mr. Supratim Banerjee

Mr. Banerjee was appointed as an Alternate Director to Mr. Gaurav Mathur. Mr. Banerjee has approximately 8 years of experience in corporate finance sector. He completed his B.E. (Computers) from University of Mumbai and Masters in Business Administration from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He is the Vice President of India Equity Partners. Prior to joining India Equity Partners, he worked with A.T. Kearney Private Limited as Manager.

Mr. Arjun Balan

Mr. Balan is appointed as an alternate director to Mr. Brij Raj Singh. He is B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Prior to joining Baer Capital Partners, Mr. Balan had co-founded an internet venture focused on affordable fashion for the Indian youth. Previously, he has worked with Bain & Company in consulting assignments across sectors like telecom, infrastructure, auto and financial services. After engineering, he worked at Larsen and Toubro as an executive assistant to a Business Unit Head. Mr. Balan is an all-round gold medalist from IIT Kharagpur.
